Owner/operator Larry Smith is almost always at the front desk to greet you upon arrival, along with his loyal sidekick, Sam. He's a Route 66 enthusiast who has a deep passion for preserving the history and culture of the Mother Road. He wants your stay at the Safari to be a highlight of your road trip.
Some important things to know...
Staying in a classic motel is an awesome and unique experience. While chain hotels may offer lots of extras that many guests never use, they can't give you the nostalgia and community that comes with a vintage motor court. Come see for yourself!
Please note that all rooms are non-smoking, and we do not allow pets. Also, Tucumcari is on Mountain Time, so if you're traveling west, make sure to set your watch back one hour and remember that check-in begins at 3:00pm Mountain Time.
